Where we started
 
Formerly known as Perch, Altro is a Series A stage startup helping people to get uncounted payments, such as rent and subscriptions, counted toward their credit. 

Having made a powerful entrance into the market with a public investment and endorsement from Jay-Z, the company needed to establish a brand to support the expectations of the 150,000 people who had lined up to join its waitlist.

What we did
 
West first engaged Perch in a six-week sprint to create brand foundations for the rapidly growing company. With an objective to create clear visual paths and verbal positioning for the brand to build upon, West made a roadmap for Perch to run with for the next six months. The foundation for the brand emerged from the team’s sincere mission to “bring financial power to all” leading to visual and verbal implications that are bold, human-centered, and empowering – a stark contrast to the light, fluffy brand that existed before.  

Following the initial brand work, Perch and West re-engaged on a total rebrand and rename of the company, with the goal of re-introducing the company to the market.

Where are they now
 
The initial brand positioning work with West was a deciding factor for their lead investors in choosing to invest in Perch in 2021. 

Following that investment, Perch and West re-engaged to work on the official rebrand of the company. Altro launched officially in Q1 2022, and successfully raised $18 million of Series A funding in April 2022 at a $50 million pre-money valuation.
